An extra virgin olive oil with high polyphenols and very low acidity.
 
The polyphenol-rich extra virgin olive oil "Thema Premium Phenolic" has received a certificate of analysis from World Food Labs, which makes it eligible for the health claim of the European Union Regulation 432/2012.

The polyphenols in olive oil help protect blood lipids from oxidative stress.

The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of just 4 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil with a high phenolic content.

It is produced from the "Koroneiki" variety in the village of Hamezi in Sitia, in a selected, privately owned olive grove (550m altitude) with only 55 trees, which is why its production is available in limited quantities.

The harvest takes place at the beginning of October by hand, so as not to injure the fruit. Olive oil (designated as PDO Sitia) is exported on the same day with cold pressing (T <270C) under optimal conditions, as the olives are transported as soon as possible to the oil mill within 4-8 hours.
